Check out this little bee coming in to enjoy my garden. I am in the process of encouraging bees into the garden to promote pollination of my flowering plants. Bees see all colours, except red, apparently, and have a keen sense of smell. They are able to use these senses to locate flowers and collect pollen.
Not only is the pollen used as a food source for the bees but they drop some in flight resulting in cross pollination. Bees are wonderful to watch so take the time to sit and appreciate how hard they work.
